WesternBahia region is repeating
the success of one of the
biggest fairs of the sector in the
Country, featuring technological
innovations and businesses
The fair and the agribusiness fest in Western Bahia
picked up steam again in 2017, as another very successful
event. Besides generating debates on current themes of the
sector, with specialists and farmers, Bahia FarmShow, in its
13th edition, attracted upwards of 200 exhibitors, 700 brand
names and products, along with the most recent techno-
logical innovations, prompting businesses of R$ 1.531 bil-
lion. The brand name reaffirms the fair among the biggest
in Brazil in terms of agribusiness and it also provided evi-
dence for the strength of the sector, nowon a productive re-
action throughout the region, and a player in the recovery
of the national economy.
The event held at the Bahia Farm Com-
plex, in themunicipality of Luís EduardoMag-
alhães, from May 30 to June 3, attracted 63.3
visitors, not only from the region and Brazil,
but from several countries in the world, and
its organization and services involved around
3 thousand people. Farmers, exhibitors and
professionals linked to the supply chains had
the opportunity to exchange experiences and
knowledge, observe new technological op-
tions and, establish conditions to expand
their investments and efficiency in the sector,
