Bahia prepares young
people for rural work and
graduates hundreds of
professionalswith special
programs run since 2013
Since 2013, the Learning Law (nº 10.097/2000) and ru-
ral professionalization in Western Bahia have relied on spe-
cial initiatives that have already built the rural skills of 300
youth in the region though the Young Apprentice Program,
coordinated by the Aiba Institute, of the Bahia Association
of Farmers and Irrigators (Aiba). According to
what is set forth by law, work opportunities
are offered in agribusiness through profes-
sionalization, not only theoretical by equally
