CONTROL STRATEGIES
For an effective diseasemanagement at field level, soybean
farmers are advised to resort to all practices on hand:
n
Use of early or super-early cycle soybean cultivars.
Utilization of cultivars that bear resistance genes,
whenever available.
n
Planting at the start of the recommendedperiod.
n
Elimination of volunteer soybean plants.
n
Compliancewith fallowperiod–avoidsecondsoybeancrop.
n
Permanent fieldmonitoring.
n
Use of recommendedmulti-site fungicides
for control and rotation of active ingredients.
n
Recall that in some regions and for some fungal
strains carboxamides are very effective,
with an efficient rate of upwards of 80%.
n
Get informed in order to avoid the use of
productswith a lowefficiency rate.
n
Never get chained to a technological package
of a company, pursue suppliers that boast a portfolio
of active ingredient rotation.
n
Plant early.
n
Seekmaterial that ismore efficient for the region.
